Hi to the Slate readers and an update!

Hey all you Slate readers…welcome to my blog!  If I had known you were coming, I would have baked a cake.  Actually I would have done the work on this blog that I have been meaning to do, but it has been really low on the priority list!  So this will have to do for now.  It’s nice to see you here, it’s funny that Slate is just now writing about this.  If you are wanting to see some of my current sightings, check out a huge list here.  I am sure there are more out there in the world, but who can keep track?  Well, Idee actually does a pretty good job of it.  And of course, The Inquirer does too…where would I be without them?  Living a boring existence without random fame, I guess…*sigh*.

Anyway, I also wanted to give you all an update of what’s going on in my world.  I am getting ready to move to Berkeley where my boyfriend and I are renting a great little townhouse in Emeryville (right outside the Berkeley border).  It is only a couple of years old and nice and big with space for me to hoop, my boyfriend to work from home, and just enough room for us and our 5 animals!  It’s a cool up-and-coming area with lots of restaurants and stuff, and is home to both Pixar and Wham-O…which for a WALL-E lover and hooper like me, is pretty rad!

I start Berkeley on August 27th, which I am both excited and nervous about.  I rocked it in community college, but as I am constantly being reminded, Berkeley is not going to be as easy.  But I am up for the challenge and looking forward to living in my second favorite city…finally!  I have always wanted to live in SF, and here I am, about to move there!  My dad lived there for a long time when I was younger, so it has a special place in my heart for sure.  His ashes were actually spread in the Bay very close to where we will be living so I feel as though he will be watching over me (like he isn’t already), but I will feel even closer to him in a weird way.   It is also a huge hooping mecca, so that will be really good for me too!

So yeah, life is good…I’ll keep you guys posted on stuff soon!
