First week of November, year one

Dear Diary,

We had a Speech Club meeting last night and I found out that I have to do another debate.  This one is about the separation of church and state, yet another topic about which I have no strong opinions. Professor Gosling gave me some books on Christianity and some others on Supreme Court rulings. I have a lot of reading to do.

The only good part was that we met at his house and Mrs. Gosling made PB cookies.

Emily Smithstone, from the other end of the hall, visited her boyfriend in Vermont over the weekend.  She brought back maple syrup and the Swine Flu. It is our first case in the dorm. Now, her roommate, Janie, is staying with me.  This means I had to move my left-brained computer so she’d have a desk to use.  And that means I now have to use my right-brained computer to write my Political Science paper.  I don’t think it will to be very good.
