From The Everywhere Girl Diaries – a work of fiction
Fourth week of January, year one
Dear Diary,
Well, classes started yesterday and I’m already behind in my reading. I blame it on Busty since we stayed up blabbing last night until 3am. We both put on a couple of pounds over Christmas and have decided we need to take advantage of the gym here at school and start working out. We spent hours Googling exercise programs, body building, and bikini bodies until, at 2:30 am, we came across a site that said that “sleep is an integral element of training.” We really thought it was funny. Of course, things usually are when the rest of the world is sleeping.
I’m excited about my classes this semester. I love my school. Even when you’re fulfilling your General Education Requirements they let you study cool things. I’m taking:
Visual Images on the Web – Art
Life in the Universe (Everyone calls this Aliens 101) – Natural Sciences
Pets in Society – Social & Behavioral Science
First Year Seminar English – Humanities
And, as an elective I’m taking Handwriting Analysis. I figure since I’m now doing investigative work it might come in handy.
I am bummed that I don’t have any classes from Professor Gosling this time. At least there’s still Speech Club.
